Abstract
An offshore sour gas development in Qatar has high uninhibited corrosion rates, and the selected corrosion control option for the export pipelines is carbon steel with corrosion inhibition. The corrosion inhibition system requires an availability close to 100%. This paper covers the corrosion inhibitor injection, the performance and monitoring philosophy and the functional requirements of the systems designed to achieve this level of availability.
