Abstract
It is known that electrochemical noise can be generated as a result of fluctuations in flow. This work has studied the effect of steady flow in both the laminar and turbulent regimes on the production of electrochemical noise. Experiments have been performed with applied cathodic currents in order to avoid changes in the surface morphology during the experiment. It has been found that flow increases the higher frequency components of the potential noise signal, with the power spectrum tending towards white noise at high Renolds number.
