Abstract
Modern chemical and petrochemical processing facilities make use of a variety of different structural and corrosion-resistant metal products to optimize performance, reliability, output, and product quality. Thus, maintenance workers are often faced with selecting welding products for a wide variety of materials. This often leads to excessive stocking costs and the possibility of improper product selection and/or mixing of products. By selecting welding products that can be used to weld a variety of materials, these costs can be better controlled and the likelihood of mixed products significantly reduced. In addition, the use of over-matching composition welding products produces weldments with optimum resistance to corrosion in aggressive environments.
