Volunteers from the cathodic protection (CP) industry are being sought to help lead an event at NACE International’s annual CORROSION conference and exhibition, to be held in March 2017 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Conference organizers are seeking volunteers to walk interested parties through a “mini” version of a CP field. Volunteers will explain what each station does, as well as help attendees perform tests.
The stations that make up the exhibit will include a soil resistivity station, a pipe locating and isolated flange station, a galvanic CP system, and an impressed current CP system.
Virtual training simulators will also be at the back of the field for interested parties to review.
Volunteers must work in the CP industry and be able to explain the four stations and their concepts.
For more information on the stations and how to volunteer, visit NACE’s Volunteer Manager web site.
