The Selection of Materials for Mineral Processing, by Steve Clarke and Roger Francis, discusses the basics of how to select cost effective material for a minerals processing application and captures some of the critical issues that make a materials choice a success or failure. The book covers both new equipment and maintenance of existing plant equipment and relates many examples of real mining industry material performance in actual operational experience. Catastrophic case histories are described, but are counterbalanced with successful and appropriate material selection strategies. “This book fills some gaps that commonly occur in materials selection and corrosion control at minerals processing operations,” says Clarke. The book is spiral bound and includes over 50 full-color images.
The CorrStore also released CorrCompilations: Concrete. Edited by Malcolm McNeil, this publication includes articles relating to concrete structures, concrete substrates, and corrosion. The articles come from papers presented at various NACE International conferences and contain a wealth of technical information to help owners, engineers, specifiers, contractors, and inspectors working with many types of concrete structures.
The two new publications are available in hard copy and as e-books from NACE International’s online bookstore, CorrStore: www.corrstore.com.
