The National Transportation Safety Board is pleased to announce the upcoming Accident Site Photography Course, to be held October 19-21, 2015, at the NTSB’s Training Center in Ashburn, Virginia.
The course will provide a comprehensive overview of photographic procedures and techniques focused on transportation accident investigation documentation. Over three days of the course, topics presented will include: (1) principles of digital imaging, including camera usage, elements of exposure, and lighting; (2) advanced accident site photography, including, positional references, authenticity, and photo reality; and (3) digital image processing, including, file types, image size, and image correction.
Students will have the opportunity to practice the skills they learn through a hands-on wreckage documentation exercise.
