Gas Technology Institute Elects New Chairman, Board Member Free

After seven years as chairman of the board of directors for the Gas Technology Institute (GTI) (Des Plaines, Illinois, USA), Terry McCallister recently announced that he is stepping down from this role. This aligns with McCallister’s retirement as chairman and CEO at WGL Holdings, Inc. (Washington, DC, USA) and Washington Gas.

“Terry has served on GTI’s board for more than a decade in various capacities,” says David Carroll, president and CEO. “He has worked closely with other board members and our senior management to provide valuable guidance, and I want to thank him for his excellent contributions that have helped to make us what we are today.”

Bret Lane, president and chief operating officer of Southern California Gas Company (Los Angeles, California, USA), was elected to serve as the GTI board’s new chair. Rebecca Ranich, president of Exenico LLC (Baltimore, Maryland, USA), was re-affirmed for the position of vice chair, which she has held since 2011.

Adrian Chapman, who succeeds McCallister as president and CEO at his company, has been elected to serve on GTI’s board. He has held a variety of management and executive roles at Washington Gas throughout his career, which spans more than 36 years.

“I welcome these esteemed colleagues to their new roles on GTI’s board, and I’m confident that under their direction, we will continue to create and deliver valuable technical and service solutions to the natural gas industry and broader energy markets,” Carroll adds.

GTI is an independent nonprofit technology organization, aimed at providing research, development, and training solutions for the natural gas industry and energy markets.
