Inland Coatings (Salisbury, North Carolina, USA) recently announced the promotion of Ken Schultz to the position of company president.
A roofing industry veteran of 30-plus years, Schultz started his career working for the roofing union right out of college. From there, prior to joining Inland, he assumed leadership positions with Owens Corning, Firestone Building Products, Mulehide Products, and Johns Manville.
“Ken brings to Inland a wealth of experience,” says Brad Money, former president of Inland. “He is also a perfect culture fit for this organization, which prides itself on doing the right thing for our customers, taking a team approach to solving problems, and aggressively seeking out opportunities for growth.”
This past year, Schultz played a crucial role in merging Inland’s three major brands—Inland Coatings, Aldo Coatings, and TRUCO coatings—into one seamless P&L (profit and loss) while introducing new logos and labels and streamlining the sales process.
“We are excited to be bringing to our customers a stronger, more unified brand under the Inland Coatings name,” Schultz says.
“I have a real passion for teaching and coaching,” Schultz adds. “I want this company to be the kind of place where our employees would want their own children, and later, their grandchildren to come work for us.”
Inland Coatings describes itself as a leading manufacturer of quality silicone, polyurethane, acrylic, rubber, and asphaltic coatings for roof repair and maintenance. Its business includes commercial skylights, as well as state-of-the-art solutions for agricultural and industrial applications, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and recreational vehicles.
