Induron Introduces Perma-Clean 100 Single-Leg Technology Free

March 2, 2025

Induron Protective Coatings (Birmingham, Alabama, USA) recently announced the launch of Perma-Clean 100 Single-Leg (PC100 SL), which the company describes as a revolutionary innovation in protective coatings technology.

This next-generation product provides the proven benefits of thick-film barrier protection without requiring expensive, complex plural-component spray equipment—thereby eliminating a significant financial barrier for asset owners, Induron explains.

“For years, asset owners seeking the robust, single-coat protection of 25+ mils (635 microns) faced a significant financial hurdle,” says Davies Hood, company president. “Traditional thick film coatings necessitated specialized equipment, adding tens of thousands of dollars to project costs. With PC100 SL, that obstacle is eliminated.”

Traditional plural-component spray applications often result in excessive product waste, Induron explains, as applicators continuously purge catalyzed material to prevent equipment clogs.

PC100 SL aims to address this challenge with a slower reaction time, which allows applicators to pause their work without flushing the system. Whether adjusting rigging or checking film thickness, professionals can simply set the spray gun aside—cutting material waste and reducing downtime.

“Achieving true 100% solids application through standard spray equipment has long been an industry goal,” says William Seawell, director of technical services at Induron. “While some manufacturers have misleadingly labeled standard airless products as thick-film equivalents, PC100 SL delivers on its promise.”

Engineered as a true counterpart to Induron’s plural-applied Perma-Clean 100, both versions share the same A-side epoxy formulation. Applicators can choose the B-side catalyst to match their preferred application method while maintaining identical chemical resistance, film thickness capabilities, and performance characteristics.

Additionally, PC100 SL meets key industry standards, including:

  • NSF Std. 61/600 approval for potable water immersion;
  • AWWA D-102 ICS System #3 compliance.

With PC100 SL, Induron says it is revolutionizing the protective coatings industry by making thick-film barrier protection more accessible, efficient, and cost-effective. By reducing equipment costs, minimizing waste, and upholding the trusted performance standards of Perma-Clean 100, PC100 SL aims to redefine the way professionals approach the industry.
