Coatings, linings, and fireproofing products manufacturer Carboline (St. Louis, Missouri, USA) announced that Ali Shah, Ph.D., has joined the company as vice president of global research and development (R&D) and innovation.
Shah brings more than 22 years of product innovation experience to the role, having held leadership positions with renowned global chemical companies such as Dow, Eastman, PPG, and Lubrizol. His extensive expertise reflects Carboline’s ongoing commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions to the market, according to the company.
“Carboline has a strong legacy of leading with technology and innovation,” Shah says. “I look forward to channeling our R&D investments to develop market-leading products in passive fire protection and protective coatings.”
Shah holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
