Corrosion is a detrimental phenomenon that results in significant economic losses every year due deterioration of metallic infrastructure [1]. In the Oil & Gas industry, where metallic structures are exposed to aggressive environments, effective protection techniques are essential [2]. Cathodic protection (CP) has proven to be a reliable solution for preventing corrosion in submerged and buried structures [3]. However, the proper operation of Rectifier Units (URPCs), which inject current to achieve cathodic protection, needs to be adequately monitored and controlled, especially in geographically dispersed areas with service availability challenges [4].
