He is also investigating the electrochemistry and passivity of intermetallic phases.

Dr. Jamie Noël, now Assistant Professor of Chemistry at The University of Western Ontario, obtained BSc and MSc degrees (Chemistry) from the University of Guelph. He leads a large, multi-institutional, interdisciplinary research effort examining the potential interplay between the metallurgy and corrosion properties of proposed nuclear fuel waste containers, the used fuel itself, the surrounding clay and rock, the groundwater, and the microorganisms present in a deep geologic repository for used nuclear fuel, involving 9 research groups from 4 universities. His research interests include nuclear fuel waste management, automotive parts, additive manufacturing, and oil refining.

Kevin Ogle

Professor Kevin Ogle obtained the Ph.D. degree in 1985 in Chemistry from the University of Texas, Austin working with the late Professor J.M. White in the field of surface science applied to heterogeneous catalysis. He has taught "Corrosion and Surface Treatment" at the Université Henri Poincaré in Nancy, France, in the Material Science graduate program and was Associate Research Director, CNRS, at the Centre d’Etudes de Chimie Métallurgique, in Paris. He has been a faculty member of the ENSCP (Ecole Nationale de Chimie de Paris) Chimie-ParisTech since 2005. His research interests include electrochemistry of Zn-Al-Mg alloys, surface treatment of Zn and Al alloys, dealloying mechanisms of copper alloys, passivation of stainless steel in concentrated nitric acid, dissolution and passivation of high entropy alloys, and controlled dissolution of Mg for biological implants.

Dr. R. Winston Revie is a Fellow of ASM International, of NACE International, of The Electrochemical Society, Inc., and of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum. He is a Past President of the Metallurgical Society of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum. He was on the Board of Directors of NACE International from 2006 to 2009. He was President of the NACE Foundation of Canada from 2008 to 2012. His research interests include stress corrosion cracking, corrosion inhibition/inhibitors, corrosion in hydrogen sulfide environments, corrosion monitoring/inspection, passivity, corrosion control of oil and gas pipelines, and corrosion of surgical implants.
