The effect of urotropine, homopiperazine, and n-decylamine on the corrosion of pure iron in deaerated and aerated 0.1 M Na2SO4 solution, with a pH value 2, at 25 C, was investigated by polarization techniques and measurements of the double layer capacitance using the single pulse method. It was found that urotropine and homopiperazine were adsorbed on the pure Fe surface according to a Frumkin isotherm. The n-decylamine and homopiperazine were chemisorbed, while the urotropine produce a physical adsorption.
