A report entitled “Materials Technology in the Near-Term Energy Program” has been prepared by the Commission on Sociotechnical Systems of the National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences. This report was prepared for the Science Advisor to the President by the ad hoc Committee on Critical Materials Technology in the Energy Program.
