In the April, 1975 editorial, I recommended a major program to develop authoritative handbooks on corrosion subjects which are paid for by a magnitude of support proportional to their true value to technology.

Now, I wish to suggest similar programs whose financial justification is the same and whose ultimate benefits to the corrosion community as well as to the general technological strength is the same.

First, I suggest that a program of Debriefing Sabbaticals be instituted, and I wish to explain by citing a personal example. I was in Brussels at a seminar late in February, 1975 in which the performance of Inconel type alloys was discussed at a meeting under sponsorship of Cebelcor (Pourbaix) and the Commission a l’Energie Atomique (Coriou).
