Task Group T-1G-2, Cement Linings, at its first meeting on July 6 in Tulsa established its scope: To prepare a summary of cement-lined pipe experience, a general specification and a recommended practice brochure and to encourage research and methods of evaluation.
Collecting information on the subject is the committee’s present task. Very little published information is available, the committee reports. Manufacturers and users of cement-lined pipe are being canvassed for specifications and case histories with the request that information be furnished by September 1. This deadline was set so that the information can be sent to task group members for review before the next meeting September 28 in Dallas at the Ramada Inn, 6900 Cedar Springs Road.
