This paper relates the problems of corrosion and grounding in the construction of a large manufacturing facility. The elimination of copper ground rods, which cause galvanic corrosion problems and unusual cathodic protection current requirements, is discussed. The design considerations are reviewed for a cathodic protection system installed during the construction of this industrial facility as well as the selection of zinc rods for grounding purposes. Test data obtained upon completion of the cathodic protection system are presented 5.2.1
