Attractive properties of titanium, zirconium and tantalum for fabrication of equipment to be used in corrosive environments of the chemical industry are detailed. Relation of hydrogen absorption properties and resistance to numerous corrosives at varying temperatures are related in the text and tabulated data. Some special problems faced when these metals are fabricated are considered and solutions of some are described. Some typical examples of equipment fabricated of titanium, zirconium and tantalum are pictured. 13 references. 6.3.15, 6.3.13, 6.3.20, 8.8.1
