Describes principal characteristics of thermoplastics currently used for corrosion resistance. Some of the advantages of plastic piping over metallic piping are discussed. Types of plastic materials described briefly include polyethylene, ABS, cellulose acetate butyrate, vinylidene chloride, PVC and chlorinated polyether.
