R. H. Bacon of Dow Chemical Company, Freeport, Texas, was elected vice chairman of Technical Committee T-6 on Protective Coatings. An NACE member since 1953, he is superintendent of Dow Chemical’s paint department and has been in corrosion control work for almost 20 years. He will take office the last day of March.
Russel W. Lane of the Illinois State Water Survey Division, Champaign, Ill., recently was elected vice chairman of Technical Committee T-4E on Corrosion by Domestic Waters. His present position is chief inorganic chemist with the Water Survey Division. He has been a member of NACE since 1946 and has a BS from Knox College and an MS from Illinois Institute of Technology.
