Corrosion Resistance of Five Stainless Alloys In Nitric Acid Containing Chloride

IRVINE I. TINGLEY is working in the Chemical Metallurgy Section, Division of Mineral Dressing and Process Metallurgy, Department of Mines and Technical Surveys, Ottawa, Canada. He received a BSc in 1948 and an MSc in physical chemistry in 1949 from Dalhousie University, Halifax, N. S., Canada. From 1949 to 1953 Mr. Tingley worked on process development at Atomic Energy of Canada, Ltd., Chalk River, Ontario. From 1953 to 1956 he was with the Department of Mines at Chalk River where he did work in the field of corrosion.
