C. F. AVILA—Assistant to the President, Boston Edison Co. From 1952 to 1954 he was responsible for surveying records, transmission rights of way and estimating in addition to plant design. He has a BS in Engineering and Business Administration, Harvard, 1929. Since joining Boston Edison in 1929 he has been connected with physical design and operation of outside plant. In 1942 he was named head of the Technical Division of the Transmission and Distribution Dept., in 1952 was advanced to Section Head in the Engineering and Construction Department and in 1954 became assistant to the president. He has specialized in cable engineering and electrolysis mitigation and has authored a number of papers.

A. B. JONES—Head, Technical Service Division, Transmission and Distribution Dept., Boston Edison Co. A graduate of Colorado School of Mines with an EM degree in 1921, he has been with Edison for 25 years dealing with technical problems connected with construction, operation and maintenance of outside electric transmission and distribution plant. Before this he was with Arkansas Power and Light Co. as distribution engineer for five years, among other things supervising construction of underground and overhead distribution and street railway systems.
