The authors relate methods used to locate the anodic areas on a wrapped gas pipe- line, the two 61 to 68- inch Mokelumne Aqueducts and a smaller cement mortar coated water pipe line. Efficiency and ease of using earth surface potential method are illustrated by their application to several corrosion problems, including one involving an underwater crossing of the two Mokelumne Aqueducts.
