NCERCAMP Concrete Symposium at University of Akron, Ohio Free

April 4, 2019
You are invited to attend and participate in the second annual International Concrete Symposium at The National Center for Education and Research on Corrosion and Material Performance (NCERCAMP) at the University of Akron in Ohio this coming May 14-15, 2019.

This two-day symposium brings together leading material scientists, industry experts, owner groups, and trade organizations to share, in a highly interactive environment, exciting advances in the field of concrete and internal curing while also fostering an important dialog.
RCS
Learn how to eliminate curing compounds, sealers, moisture membranes and wet curing methods while increasing early strength and long-term durability in the Reactive Co-polymerizing Solids (RCS) course. Working with the City of Akron, Ohio Department of Transportation and NCERCAMP, instructors will work with course participants to place and finish a section of road in the City of Akron within an unprecedented construction schedule.
National Precast Concrete Association
NPCA is committed to sustainable concrete solutions for the built environment. Do you know all the ways that precast concrete applications can reduce waste, save money and improve outcomes for your projects? Would you like to know how to specify and build correctly for precast concrete systems? Then this continuing education program is for you.
SSPC: The Society for Protective Coatings
When coating concrete, preparation is everything. Join the SSPC for presentations and hands-on education in blast-cleaning concrete for coatings. IACET accredited CEUs available in this engaging course that pulls back the coatings in order to better understand how and why they work with properly prepared concrete surfaces.
Polished Concrete
Is your concrete sealed or is it polished? How can you tell the difference? What are the specification benchmarks between sealed/coated concrete vs. physically refined polished concrete floors? Are you still using outdated terms like “grit,” “gloss,” or “DOI” in your construction documents? If you would like the answers to these questions or to learn how to install polished concrete then this AIA course is a must. Combining hands-on and lectures, attendees will be able to confidently design and build for long-term sustainability and defined aesthetics in concrete floor finishes.
