AkzoNobel Launches Safety E-Learning Program

January 9, 2025

AkzoNobel has launched a new e-learning safety training module at this week’s Composites and Advanced Materials Expo (CAMX) in Anaheim, California.

The tool provides customers and distributors with essential background information and safe handling guidelines for the company’s organic peroxides.

AkzoNobel, known as a global producer of paints, coatings, and specialty chemicals, is headquartered in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The company lists safety and sustainability among its leading priorities.

Designed for Organic Peroxides

“Our organic peroxides are well known under the trade names Cadox, Butanox, Perkadox, and Triganox and are essential ingredients for the polymer industry,” said Markus Majoor, global market segment leader for AkzoNobel’s polymer chemistry business.

“We make sure that our products are safely handled, and this new module effectively supports our customers and distribution partners,” Majoor added.

Training Options

The training is available to customers, distributors, and other potential partners. It will initially be available in English, with other languages added in 2017.

“Safety is a core value at AkzoNobel,” Majoor said. “The company is a leader in innovation within the industry and this is another example how sharing best practices benefits all the parties involved along the supply chain.

“The module enhances the company’s world-class safety training program and furthers knowledge on the handling of AkzoNobel’s products,” he added.
