The new facility is anticipated to add new jobs to the Wadsworth community in 2017.
Additional Roofing, Waterproofing Resin Production
The new building will encompass approximately 25,000 square feet (2,322.6 m²) of space and allow for additional roofing and waterproofing resin production in the United States, offering shorter lead times and state-of-the-art manufacturing operations for customers across North America.
“The addition of our new Wadsworth manufacturing facility affirms our commitment to growing within our community,” said Sara Jonas, marketing manager at SOPREMA. Construction on the Wadsworth project is set to be completed by summer of 2017. The new facility will join three existing SOPREMA facilities on the Wadsworth campus.
“The new Wadsworth facility will continue SOPREMA’s focus to advance and provide our industry with the highest performing roofing and waterproofing resin systems, while also enhancing our innovation capabilities,” said Tim Kersey, vice president and GM at SOPREMA. According to the company, the new facility will allow the group to expand its production of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and polymethacrylate (PMA) resins used in polymeric, liquid-applied membranes. These membranes are part of the company’s roofing and waterproofing solutions.
