GacoFlex A4207 BleedTrap is a single-component, water-based sealer for asphalt roofing. The primary usage of BleedTrap is to encapsulate the oil that commonly exudes from roofing substrates containing bitumen, including built-up roofing (BUR), all types of ModBit and smooth or granulated asphaltic roofing membranes. After BleedTrap is applied, the oils and plasticizers that usually migrate to a roof's surface become trapped inside the sealer to inhibit bleed-through. The result is a GacoFlex silicone roof free from discoloration or staining. In addition, the exceptional film build of BleedTrap provides a smoother surface for easy top coat application of all GacoFlex Solvent-Free Silicone Coatings.

The use of BleedTrap followed by a thin primer coat of GacoFlex E5320 2-Part Epoxy Primer/Filler is required to ensure adhesion and to be eligible for the 5-Year Brightness Warranty offered on GacoFlex S2100 Cleanable Solvent-Free Silicone Coating when applied over asphaltic and bitumen-containing substrates.
