Gustavo
Pinto has been promoted to Sales Director, Latam Specialty Carbon Blacks at
Orion Engineered Carbons. He is responsible for sales and for managing the
agents and distributors in Latin America.
Pinto brings more than 20 years of chemical industry experience to his new position. He joined Evonik Degussa, before it became Orion, in 2001 in commercial sales working with carbon black, silicas and silanes in Brazil. Most recently, Pinto was Marketing Director, Rubber, Americas where he developed and managed goals and strategies for growing the rubber business. Pinto also was part of the Orion team that successfully implemented the company’s SAP system.
Pinto earned his Bachelor‘s degree in chemistry at the Lutheran University of Brazil (ULBRA), and currently resides in Kingwood, Texas with his wife and two children.
