AkzoNobeI’s Interline 975P Provides a Solvent-Free Solution

January 9, 2025

AkzoNobel’s a provider of protective coatings, linings, and fire-protection products, has launched Interline® 975P, a new solvent-free, single-coat potable water lining solution, into the North American water and wastewater market.

Safer Formulation
Formulated as a two-component, 100% volume solids, zero VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) amine cured epoxy tank lining, Interline® 975P reduces solvent emissions and eliminates the risk of solvent retention, which can influence water quality. The absence of Benzyl alcohol further minimizes the occurrence of taste or smell in potable water tanks during storage. When applied to the correct specifications, Interline® 975P conforms to the NSF/ANSI Standard 61* international standard for the storage of potable water.

AkzoNobel’s North American Water and Wastewater Market Champion, Karl Nollsch, explains, “One of the many great features of Interline® 975P is that it can be applied in a single coat using standard airless spray equipment, and can even be recoated up to 28 days to accommodate contract scheduling and large work areas. Interline® 975P also cures to a hard, glossy finish for a long-lasting, easy-to-clean and low maintenance surface.”

Easy to Use
and More Protection
With a simple 2:1 mix ratio (by volume), Interline® 975P provides additional corrosion protection to steel storage tanks and pipelines exposed to a wide range of cargoes including crude oil, and a variety of other hydrocarbons.
