Farwest Corrosion Control Company is pleased to announce that Marnie Rankin was recently promoted to chief operating officer. She is also the majority stock owner of the company.
Rankin, who joined the company in 1973, has had many roles and responsibilities within the company. Most recently, she held the title of general manager of the Corrosion Control Products Division, and she also held an officer position as company secretary/treasurer. When the Corrosion Control Products Division merged into Farwest, Rankin became responsible for all company operations, including day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and operational strategies, to help the future growth of the company. Thus, she earned the position of chief operating officer.
“I am truly honored to hold this new position. I will continue to stay focused on the success of our company while continuing to provide the highest level of service our customers deserve,” said Rankin.
According to John Peterson, director of marketing, “Marnie has been with the company over 40 years, has a detailed understanding of our history, product lines, and services, and fully understands the operational needs of the company for our future growth.”
