Elcometer is pleased to announce the launch of the new Elcometer 456 range Ultra/Scan Probes: Working with the Elcometer 456 range of coating thickness gauges, the Elcometer Ultra/Scan probes are available with both Ferrous (steel) only and dual FNF (Steel and aluminum) options, the Ultra/Scan probe allow users to take individual readings or rapidly scan large surface areas - without damaging the probe or the coating:

Introducing “Scan Mode”
“Scan Mode” allows users to slide the Probe over the entire surface area and as the probe is lifted off the surface, the gauge displays the average coating thickness value together with the highest and lowest thickness values - ideal for on line inspection.

Introducing “Auto Repeat Mode”
When the probe is placed onto the coated substrate in “Auto Repeat Mode”, the gauge automatically takes readings until the probe is removed from the substrate and each individual reading is stored into the memory. “Auto Repeat Mode” can therefore be used to significantly speed up and document the inspection of everything from automobiles to refrigerators.
When used in conjunction with ElcoMaster™ 2.0 software, readings can be downloaded in real time to a smart phone, pad device, or PC. Available free of charge ElcoMaster™ 2.0 has been designed to be familiar and intuitive to any computer user. This easy to use software allows you to store all your inspection readings (including dry film thickness, adhesion, cleanliness, climate, surface profile and much more). With its in-built report templates and easy access of all data, images and other associated files.
