Mag7 Technologies LLC http://mag7tech.com announces the launch of CeraGrapheAC, its innovative graphene enhanced anti-corrosion/anti-rust coating for metal surfaces.
CeraGrapheAC is for metal infrastructure upgrades to bridges, rail cars, metal buildings, and for marine applications where saltwater, extreme temperature variation, and intense weather are persistent problems.
CeraGrapheAC uses a pre-ceramic polymer that chemically renders graphene from raw graphite in situ, and evenly distributes it throughout the dispersion. When blended with other proprietary inorganic ingredients the result is an enduring graphene anti-corrosion coating that is thin, light, and tenaciously adhering. Priced under $2/square foot for a single application (material), CeraGrapheAC is immediately competitive with other coatings. It requires less labor since there is no primer needed underneath and just one application does the job. For most uses the one application may be the last time any coating will ever be needed.
While reserving coating manufacturing to itself, Mag7 offers a license to the patent-pending technology it uses to make the graphene-containing preceramic slurry (CeraGrapheGC) used in the coating. Alexander Lukacs, Ph.D., and Lucas Marin, are the technical advisers to Mag7, and co-inventors of the pending U.S. patent.
Mag7 will sell testing quantities by Q4 2021. Its production plant to produce large quantities should be operational by Q1 2022.
