Carboline Technical Director of Innovation Mary Roley received the Women in Coatings Impact Award, which recognizes women who have contributed to creating a positive impact on the culture of the coatings industry. Roley, who has been with Carboline for more than 27 years said, "I am extremely pleased to be recognized for creating a positive impact and for showing a commitment to advancement of the coatings industry. Being recognized by an esteemed organization such as SSPC is a great honor. I look forward to continuing to develop innovative new products, mentoring others and providing training for colleagues in the coatings industry."
The company also received the George Campbell Award, which recognizes a single outstanding achievement in the completion of a difficult or complex industrial coatings project. This award goes to a team of people that played integral roles in the project. Sales Representative Michael Woodward was there on behalf of Carboline to accept the award and said, “It was an honor to be involved in the Lewis and Clark Bridge. I would like to thank the SSPC committee members for selecting this project as a recipient of the George Campbell Award. Thank you also to Champion Painting and Walsh-Vinci JV for the opportunity to work with them on the project and for their use of Carboline.”
Each year, awards are presented at the SSPC annual meeting to recognize individuals and companies that have made recent and long-term contributions to the success of the organization and have represented the coatings industry in a positive light.
