The coil coatings business at global paints and coatings manufacturer Sherwin-Williams recently announced significant enhancements to its Roofing Passport program.

Since launching in 2020, the program has revolutionized the metal roofing industry with a fully automated estimation and ordering system, according to the manufacturer. The latest updates are aimed at further improving the program’s workflow and collaboration between contractors, partners, and manufacturers.

Key enhancements, according to the company, include:

  • Redesigned user interface: Updated for better navigation and usability;

  • Improved onboarding capabilities: Upgraded integration with partner companies and programs;

  • Expanded job management: A clickable job list with quick actions and detailed job files, notes, and communications;

  • Streamlined job creation: A more intuitive, guided process that walks users step-by-step to create a new job.

“These enhancements to Roofing Passport represent a significant leap forward in metal roofing estimation,” said Junny Lee, market segment manager for the group’s MetalVue program. “We listened closely to our customers’ feedback and developed updates that directly address their biggest pain points. The result is a streamlined, intuitive, and user-friendly solution that simplifies every step of the metal roof estimation process, from initial measurements to final order.”

By automating key processes and providing full material takeoffs, the Roofing Passport program is designed to slash estimation time and reduce change errors, all while empowering contractors to bid on more projects and close deals faster. Contractors struggling with time-consuming manual measurements and complex spreadsheets can now generate accurate bids in hours, freeing up valuable time to focus on growing their business.
