Abstract
The manuscript investigates the interplay between electrochemical noise measurements and neutral salt spray (NSS) resistance of anodized Aluminum alloy brake calipers. A direct proportionality among anodization time, thickness of the anodic layer, noise resistance (Rn) and NSS resistance is demonstrated. The work opens the way to an accelerated evaluation of the corrosion resistance of automotive components by using noise resistance –based techniques.
