Currently all coat manufacturers show performances and properties of products in a datasheet, which show everyone of test and coating’s behavior under operating conditions related with the environment where it will be buried. This paper describes that client specified a coating thickness that Is below the minimun recommended by the product manufacturer in datasheet. It is crucial to note that this líquid epoxy resin (LBE) Novolac is intented for use at temperatures higher than those expected during operation and round approximately 50°C compared with the 150°C raised by the coating at 30 mils in thickness, and the bend angles applied in pipes exceed the manufacturer’s recommendation in advance (5 to 7 degree PLD), however the lined pipes passed all the test in lab as CAN/CSA Z245-20-02, PDVSA-EM-01-01/20, ISO 21809-2:2014, AWWA C 213, ASTM D-570 and ASTM D2240. The bending test rise high angles probably due to the gradual cold working process used and the good adherence of coat at less thickness with acceptable hardness (average of 23 mils compared to 30 mils used commonly). The cathodic detachment test be accelerated, 48 hours at 95°C according to the standard CAN/CSA Z245-20 to comply with delivery times. Although the temperature of the fluid to be transported in the pipeline does not exceed 50°C, there are neighboring pipelines where it will be buried whose temperature rised 70°C
