Abstract
Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) presents unique challenges in the construction industry, particularly concerning risk assessment and mitigation due to varied geological conditions and project specifics. This paper follows our previous publication regarding the high-performance Liquid Epoxy Polymer Concrete (LEPC), which has a proven track record of over 30 years in the industry worldwide, with the integration of engineered fiberglass fabric as an improved technological solution with a new level of performance. This paper also explores a comprehensive methodology for evaluating risk in HDD projects, focusing on the selection of appropriate fiber reinforced composite coatings based on geological considerations, pipe types, project details, and identified risk levels.
